I tested this ultra-luxury smart face serum that 'transforms' your skin, and it might be my new holy-grail product

If you, like many, want to rejuvenate your skin for the new year, this Smart Facial Serum from Genaura may just be the product that takes your skin from dull and drab to hydrated, plump and clearer than ever. 

But with many 'game-changing' skincare products saturating the market, it can be hard to work out which one will actually work for you. That's why I've put this facial serum to the test, and spoiler alert - it might be my favourite skincare product yet.

The secret ingredient that makes this serum so magical? It's Levagen+. 

This is a transdermal (meaning it penetrates through the skin) version of PEA (Palmitoylethanolamide), a naturally occurring fatty acid amide, which naturally occurs in the body. It supports the skin's natural barrier function, helping to protect the skin from trans-epidermal water loss and maintain hydration thereby reducing irritation, promoting hydration, and even combats age-related inflammation, which leads to the serum's anti-ageing results. 

It's also infused with a blend of aloe vera, papaya, milk thistle, broccoli and kale, which work together to strengthen, repair and restore the skin, while helping protect it against environmental stressors. The serum essentially transforms how your skin responds to stressors helping reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles.

When it comes to skincare, I hate to admit that I'm quite lazy - the routine with the least effort possible with the best possible results is what appeals to me. 

And with this serum, my routine has never been simpler - all I use now is a cleanser, the serum, and then my typical day or nighttime moisturiser. 

My cheeks especially become really reddened in the colder months but I've been using it consistently (morning and nighttime) for a few weeks, and have noticed that my skin feels less inflamed  more plump and considerably more hydrated. I've even noticed a reduction in breakouts, which always makes a product a winner in my eyes. 

Now, it's obviously a pricey facial serum, and it's probably not something I would have typically treated myself to. But now that I've tried and tested it? I can confidently say (if I continue to love it as much as I do now) that I will be treating myself to a replacement after I've finished my current bottle.
